"In the spirit of full disclosure I should preface this by saying this is not normally the kind of music I listen to, but it would be if it was all this good. THOU make slow and sludgy doom metal. The songs are dark and heavy, but occasionally a crystalline guitar-lead breaks through to soar above the mix. The tempo picks up toward the end of the album and the listener is treated to some great riffage. Vocals are a bit black metallish without sounding too affected. Lyrics, which come printed in a beautifully illustrated booklet, deal with death, the evils of Christianity, and reclaiming the world from the dominion of wealth. Great music for a cold, rainy day. Packaged in a brown sleeve illustrated with Sixteenth Century woodblock prints. (Matt Indignant)" - Profane Existence #55
